Hello Everyone!!

I have been a volunteer for as long as I can remember!

Like you, I have sat around many table, I enjoy being part of group interested in doing something wonderful and I have also found myself wondering if this meeting was ever going to end or if the group was ever going to get on track.

One day, it occurred to me… I could change the world by helping one community group at a time get better at doing what they do.

And so it began, Welcome to Ignite the Engaged!

Our Board is Elected. Will this work for us?

Absolutely!

So often elected boards do not have large staffs to back them up.

Elected or not, and even if per diems are involved, you know most of your time is spent 'volunteering'.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to get on track in such a way that your group spends less time spinning its wheels and more time focused on achieving the mandate your electorate sent you there to achieve?

Learn how to manage conflict, stay on track, communicate beyond your table and set a path for success.

No matter the size of group, or how you all came to sit at the same table, the sooner you gel as a team (even if you have differing points of view), to sooner you can truly dig in and get things done.

Ignite the Engaged was born as an answer to a question: How do we make meetings better?

Most things that happen in a community, occur when a group of like-minded people get together to get something done.

Whether it be a local chapter of a national organization or a start-up group that comes together to create a solution for a single problem, volunteers generally get most things done.

Volunteers are solution finders. They are change makers. They are fun generators. They are the heart of wherever they are.

But sometimes, volunteers get tripped up. Bad meetings or meeting dynamics, ultimately leads to the loss of members. Loss of members eventually means the group - and all of its great intention - fades away.

Large organizations can afford training sessions to reboot their dynamic. Small, often volunteer based groups cannot.

Ignite the Engaged has been created to solve that problem. All the guided, interactive discussion without the cost.

You bring the snacks and a large screen hooked to the internet, then settle in for an afternoon or a couple of shorter evenings to discuss how your group works and what things you might consider to get better at doing what you do!
